Isaac Carter-Hughes

It’s about growth.

I started fencing competitively over a decade ago. Soon after my start I began coaching and volunteering within the sport. Coaching fencing continues to be a super rewarding experience for me. Helping fencers develop their skills, mentality, and athleticism shaped my drive to be a positive influence for people.

I had always trained lightly in the gym during my fencing career, but I made some big changes after college. Like many, the experience wasn’t too kind on my body, and I had gone from 130 lbs to 186 lbs. Wanting to get back into shape for the sake of sport and my health I begin taking control of my nutrition and turned to powerlifting for structure in my workouts. In that time I began loving my training and started to compete in powerlifting alongside fencing.

After reflecting on what I had gained I then wanted to further develop my career in fitness beyond coaching. I began personal training and nutrition coaching to bring that control, confidence, and understanding of fitness and health to people. I began to thrive on helping people take become who they want to be while crushing their goals in a safe and healthy way.

I’m a certified BCRPA Personal Trainer and NASM Nutrition Coach.
